An impressive Victorian electroplated nickel-silver hot water pot in clear Art & Crafts period style. With superb rattan bound handle and an unusual finial to the hinged lid.
Generally used today for serving coffee or hot chocolate.
Made by Walker & Hall, this glorious piece dates to the closing years of the 19th century, pre-1896.
Bearing additional makers marks where Sterling silver is normally hallmarked - this practice was banned by law in 1896 to avoid confusion between the two.
